This course focuses on discussions and verbal exchanges. Listening comprehension and oral expression are encouraged. If you want to brush up your ‘rusty’ English, this is the right course for you. Participation in the previous ‘Touring Britain’ courses is not a prerequisite. It is therefore easy to get started.  Current topics will feature prominently in the lively discussions. We will visit places of national interest and will discuss related political, historical and literary topics. As part of ‘Touring Britain’ you can enjoy presentations on tourist destinations such as Canterbury (a city with a magnificent cathedral), Knole (an English country house and home of the Sackville family) and Blickling (a beautiful estate in Norfolk with a thousand-year-old history). And hopefully you will feel inspired to travel to England and explore these places for yourself.
