This course focuses on discussions and verbal exchanges. Listening comprehension and oral expression are encouraged. If you want to brush up your ‘rusty’ English, this is the right course for you. Participation in the previous ‘Touring Britain’ courses is not a prerequisite. It is therefore easy to get started.  Current topics will feature prominently in the lively discussions. We will visit places of national interest north of London and will discuss related political, historical and literary topics. As part of ‘Touring Britain’ you will enjoy presentations on tourist destinations such as Worcester (home of a wonderful cathedral), Croom (Lancelot Brown’s first landscape garden) or Felbrigg (a beautiful country house in Norfolk). And hopefully you will feel inspired to travel to England and explore these places for yourself.
